Our Mission and Values

In our system of values people come first.

First of all are our students. We are here for them and their future. We are aware that the best secondary school students, those who want to reach the best positions and competitive advantages with their knowledge in the game of life, chooses the Faculty of Economics. Because of that our responsibility for them is even bigger. By their enrolment on this faculty, we are proofing to them that they have made a good choice. They can see it through our permanent contacts with them, as during their studies so after finishing them. We also took care for the ambience where our students spend their time on the Faculty. Modern and functional amphitheatres and halls, study room, café bar and other space provide the full comfort and pleasant sojourn at the Faculty.

In order for them to acquire new knowledge it is necessary to have first class professors, lecturers and assistants. Our Faculty carefully selects every employee and takes care of his/her professional development and specialization as well as about his/her achievements in working with students. The teaching is supported by the most modern informational and audio-visual technology, what makes learning easier for the students and teaching for the professors.  

In the development process of the future export managers, hotel managers, executive directors of banks or funds, presidents and so on, the important role play our business partners from our surrounding – practical experts. The relation with them is reciprocal. Firstly, through the consulting services that we are giving to them, the teaching stuff of the Faculty demonstrates, in the best possible manner, the applicative character of the knowledge they possess. Secondly, the most successful practical experts are part- time professors at our Faculty. In both of the cases, the students have the opportunity to spread and test their knowledge through the practical examples as well as to meet their future business partners and employers.

So if it is necessary to express the essence of our work in a single word, than it is the word development. The development of knowledge, people, relations. From there originates the mission of the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica:

To become a leader in the development of knowledge for managing the economy in Montenegro.
