Education

Maja Drakic has finished elementary and high school in Podgorica. Beginning from 1998, she continued education at Faculty of economics, University of Montenegro in Podgorica. She has graduated in 2002, at the department “Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Finance”. Very soon, in the same year she enrolled Postgraduate Studies “Entrepreneurial Economy”. In January 2005 she defended Master’s Thesis “Privatization in transition economies” and thus obtained Masters degree in economics from Postgraduate Studies “Entrepreneurial Economy” in Podgorica. During University education she won many scholarships and awards as one of the best students in generation. Among other awards she has won Prize of City Podgorica so-called "19th December" and Medallion of the University of Montenegro for best student in generation.

She has successfully finished many specialization programs and courses and holds licenses of investment manager and broker issued by Security Commission of Montenegro, as well as license of corporative governance trainer. Maja Drakic participated at many conferences, in the country and abroad.

In August 2004, as Junior Faculty Development Program Fellow she started one-year specialization program at George Washington University, in Washington DC, USA.

From 2001 she is engaged at Institute for Strategic Studies and Prognoses in Podgorica, first as researcher, now as an analyst.



Academic Positions Held

She started to work at Faculty of economics in 2002, as junior teaching assistant, and from 2004, as teaching assistant at the Department for Entrepreneurial Economy, Courses: Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Finance and Business.
